Professional Background

I'm a cybersecurity graduate with a B.S. in Cybersecurity from the University of Saint Mary and hands-on experience building labs across security operations, cloud security, Linux administration, networking, and AI-assisted workflows. I hold CompTIA Security+, Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate, CompTIA SecAI+, and Microsoft AZ-900, and I'm actively pursuing AZ-500 and CySA+.

The projects on this site reflect what I've built and learned across hands-on labs - real troubleshooting, real tools, and real problems to solve. I believe the strongest way to demonstrate technical skill is through documented, working projects that show not just what I built, but how I thought through the problems I ran into.

Technical Approach

My approach to cybersecurity is broad by design. I've built projects across SIEM and security automation, cloud security in Azure, network administration, and AI-assisted tooling because I believe a strong foundation across multiple domains makes you effective in more environments. I'm comfortable in the Linux command line, interested in cloud security depth, and genuinely fluent in AI workflows - not just as a user, but as someone who understands how to make AI reliable and trustworthy.

Work Style

I approach technical problems by first understanding the system, then isolating variables, then applying targeted fixes - and verifying that changes actually work before declaring them done. The network troubleshooting case study on this site is a good example: every connection attempt failed, and rather than randomly trying fixes, the investigation started at the power state and worked up layer by layer until the root cause was identified.

I document what I build and what I learn. I think documentation is part of the work - not an afterthought. A fix you can't explain clearly is a fix you don't fully understand.

Outside of Cybersecurity

I'm a multi-sport athlete and competitor. I hold a Taekwondo black belt and have competed at the collegiate level in both esports and football. I was named 2025 Collegiate Esports Player of the Year.

I've also been involved in leadership development through the Leadership Club, which connects directly to how I approach technical team work: clear communication, defined roles, and making sure people understand why things matter, not just what to do.
